Mr. Dobson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) whether National Health Service staff are contractually obliged to clean, to maintain or to repair equipment (a) owned by or (b) managed by private companies in (i) premises owned by the health authority, (ii) premises owned by the private company and (iii) premises owned by the health authority but leased to the private company;

(2) whether National Health Service staff are contractually obliged to care for (a) private patients or (b) National Health Service patients treated with equipment (i) owned by or (ii) managed by private companies in (x) premises owned by the health authority, (y) premises owned by the private company and (z) premises owned by the health authority but leased to the private company;

(3) whether National Health Service staff are contractually obliged to care for National Health Service patients receiving treatment in private clinics.
