§ The Prime MinisterPermanent Secretary appoint-ments are made by the Minister in charge of the Department concerned, with the approval of the Prime Minister on advice by the head of the Home Civil Service. The criteria for particular appointments will differ according to the nature of the appointments, but will be related to the relevant qualifications and experience of the person concerned.
