§ Mr. Home Robertsonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) if he will make a statement on discussions between the Parliamentary Secretary the hon. Member for Medway (Mrs. Fenner) and representations of banana-producing countries in the course of her visit;
(2) if, in the course of her discussions on her visit to banana-producing countries in the Caribbean, the Parliamentary Secretary the hon. Member for Medway (Mrs. Fenner) took any steps to establish the difference between the price paid to producers for bananas and the retail price charged in Britain.
§ Mr. JoplingThe Parliamentary Secretary will be meeting Prime Ministers and Ministers of Agriculture in the Windward Islands and Jamaica to review progress towards meeting agreed objectives on quality. The discussions will not be concerned with the commercial relations between the supplying countries and their distributors in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Home Robertsonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list the individuals who are accompanying the hon. Member for Medway (Mrs. Fenner) on her official visit to banana-producing countries.
