Mr. Jim Callaghanasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether the terms and conditions of service of a general practitioner require him to give information to his Department in connection with claims for benefit designed to allow claimants to maintain their health, such as dietary additions to supplementary benefit; and what fee is chargeable for this service if he has the consent of the patient to do so (a) to the patient and (b) to his Department.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeA doctor is required by his terms of service to issue to his patients or their personal representatives free of charge a medical certificate required to support such a claim.
