§ Mr. Spearingasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the deficit in trade in manufactured goods between the United Kingdom and other members of the European Economic Community for 1984, estimated if necessary, based on quarterly figures.

On information available to November the deficit with the rest of the European Economic Community was about £7¾ billion on the balance of payments basis. Figures for individual countries are not available on the same basis.
