§ 49. Mr. Knoxasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what further proposals he intends to place before his European Community partners for the development of Community policies.
§ Mr. RifkindProposals, based on those set out in our paper "Europe — the Future", copies of which are available in the Library of the House, have been tabled in the ad-hoc committees set up by the European Council at Fontainebleau. They have concentrated on practical issues, including completion of the internal market, improvements in political co-operation and more efficient decision-taking.
