§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he expects to receive the report on teaching staff appraisal schemes and their application which he has commissioned.
§ Mr. DunnThe Department is negotiating a contract with the Suffolk local education authority to finance a research project to investigate the range of current approaches to performance appraisal in industry, commerce, the public services and in education services in other countries. It is expected that the project will run from early January to 30 April 1985, and that the Department will receive an initial report during May.
