§ Mrs. FennerThe information requested cannot be extracted readily. Since the introduction of the agricultural chemicals approval scheme in 1961 the annual booklet "Approved Products for Farmers and Growers" has listed all products officially approved for efficacy. A copy is placed in the Library on publication. Although early editions are no longer generally available they can be obtained through the Library. The 1985 edition will be published early next month.
In 1961 "Approved Products" listed 400 proprietary products using 50 active ingredients, in 1984 these figures were 670 and 200 respectively.
