§ Mr. ChannonWe are, of course, aware of information which is in the public domain, but there is no universal requirement for United Kingdom companies to report annually to my Department on these matters, and therefore the picture we have may not be complete. The latest information on levels of United Kingdom investment in South Africa was contained in the reply given to my hon. Friend by the Prime Minister on 11 May 1984 at column471. British exporters currently have slightly less than 11 per cent. of the South African market.
