The latest readily available figures are contained in the annual reports of the licensing authorities for the year ending 30 September 1983. They are as follows:
Number Vehicles checked 25,383 Vehicles weighed 4,660 Vehicles found to be overloaded 366 The figures cover the Principality. Separate figures for each Welsh county are not available.
