§ Mr. YoungerOn 23 October 1984, at my request, I met representatives of the teachers' side of the Scottish joint negotiating committee for teaching staff in school education, when all the constitutent teachers' associations, including the Educational Institute of Scotland, were represented. No approach has been made to me about a separate meeting with the EIS. As I indicated earlier today, however, in response to the hon. Member for Dunfermline, West (Mr. Douglas), I understand that the SJNC(SE) have decided to seek a meeting with me.
