§ Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on his recent visit to Zimbabwe.
§ Mr. RifkindMy right hon. and learned Friend paid his first visit to Zimbabwe from 5 to 8 January 1985. While there he was able to have most useful and friendly discussions with Mr. Mugabe and other senior Zimbabwean Ministers covering a wide range of international and bilateral issues. He also met a number of Opposition leaders and representatives of the private sector; and saw something of Zimbabwe's agriculture.
