HC Deb 15 January 1985 vol 71 c107W
13. Mr. Norris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what progress has been made in implementing the Griffiths report's recommendations on the running of the National Health Service.

Mr. Fowler

I am pleased to report that health authorities are making good progress in making the changes envisaged in the Griffiths report.

Within my Department the health services supervisory board has been set up and the chairman of the NHS management board, Mr. Victor Paige, has recently been appointed. I shall be considering with Mr. Paige what further changes are required.
