HC Deb 14 January 1985 vol 71 c1W
Mr. Deakins

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what money will be available to Waltham Forest council in 1985–86 for home improvement and other grants for the renovation of older houses; and what were the comparable figures for 1983–84 and 1984–85.

Sir George Young

Waltham Forest council received a housing investment programme allocation of £8.270 million for 1985–86, which it can supplement with the prescribed proportion of capital receipts. The allocation for 1983–84 and 1984–85 were £8.622 million and £8.445 million respectively. Decisions on priorities as between renovation and other housing activities are for the council.
