§ Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will state the measures he has adopted and details of the estimates and calculations he has made together with the respective totals of resources held by each of the rate-capped local authorities in the area of Greater London.
§ Mr. WaldegraveThe authorities selected for rate limitation in 1985–86 have until 15 January to comment on the rate and precept limits we have proposed. My right hon. Friend will be happy to discuss the manner of calculation of the proposed limits, and any assumptions made in that calculation, in the context of negotiations about alternative limits proposed by the individual authorities.
