asked the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State answering in respect of the Arts what supplementary level of funding Her Majesty's Government intend to allocate to the National Theatre in 1985.

It is for the Arts Council and not for my right hon. and noble Friend to determine the level of funding of individual companies.
