HC Deb 14 January 1985 vol 71 c30W
Mr. Leigh

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will make arrangements for the regular provision of information on the levels of intervention stocks of products covered by the common agricultural policy.

Mr. Teddy Taylor

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what are the present levels of surplus and intervention stores of food and wine in the European Economic Community in public and private storage, respectively; and what were the comparable totals around the same date in each of the previous 10 years.

Mr. Jopling

I have today deposited in the Libraries of both Houses of Parliament a note giving the most recent figures available on the level of stocks of agricultural products held in public intervention and private storage in the United Kingdom and the European Community as a whole. The note gives information on stock levels expressed both in terms of quantity and in days supply. I will deposit each month the most recent revised figures available.

I will publish the information for earlier years as soon as possible.
