§ Mrs. Ann Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) if he will give a breakdown by establishment of the numbers of occasions on which human embryos have been implanted into the wombs of other animals; how long each embryo survived; and what was the purpose of the implantation;
(2) if he will list all those establishments where research is being, or has been, undertaken involving the implantation of human embryos in the wombs of other animals;
(3) if he will list all those individuals or establishments which are currently in receipt of Government funding for research into the effect of the implantation of human embryos into wombs of other animals; how much money was paid in each case; and for what precise purpose these funds were intended.
§ Mr. BrookeI am not aware of any research which is being or has been undertaken involving the implantation of human embryos into the wombs of animals.
