§ Mr. Gordon Brownasked the Secretary of State for Social Services at how many meetings, other than public meetings, of his review committees into (a) children and young persons' benefits, (b) supplementary benefit and (c) housing benefit the Treasury has been represented.
§ Mr. NewtonAs I explained in my reply on 3 December at column80, the Treasury, like other Government Departments, has been involved in the work of the review teams through normal official machinery and attendance at meetings. It would not be appropriate to give further details of the internal working arrangements of the individual teams, or of the review as a whole.
