asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the authorised establishment levels of police officers for each of the metropolitan county forces and the Northumbria force for each year from 1974 to the present.

during the current miners' dispute of (a) vandalism against National Coal Board property and (b) assaults against, and intimidation of, other National Coal Board personnel.
