§ Mr. Galleyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what information about individual occupational pension schemes is held by the superannuation funds office.
§ Mr. Moore[pursuant to his reply, 17 December 1984, c. 66]: The superannuation funds office holds information received by the Board of Inland Revenue concerning pension schemes seeking tax approval under chapter II, part II, Finance Act 1970. This information includes the deed constituting the scheme, current rules, number of members, identity of the administrator and particulars of the employer. Additional information, including particulars of investments, is held for self-administered schemes with fewer than 12 members. In some cases the office holds information relevant to the tax affairs of individual members and employers.
The office also holds information in respect of retirement annuity contracts approved for the purposes of retirement annuity relief.
