HC Deb 09 January 1985 vol 70 c471W
Mr. Parry

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the British detainees now held in Libya.

Mr. Luce

We are continuing to use every available channel to secure the early release of the four British detainees. We are in close touch with their families and with the Archbishop of Canterbury whose personal representative, Mr. Terry Waite, is now in Libya. The release of the detainees would be a welcome and constructive development.
