(2) if inquiries have been made of hon. Members by the Boundary Commission for England in respect of the review of county boundaries.
§ Mr. Kenneth BakerThe Local Government Boundary Commission for England wrote on 6 June 1984 to non-metropolitan county councils, district councils and parish councils, and asked whether changes were considered desirable in the county. The purpose was to seek aid in formulating a programme for the reviews of counties, which the Commission is obliged to undertake by section 48(1) of the Local Government Act 1972. Hon. Members for constituencies in the areas concerned, and other persons who may be interested, will be informed when the commission undertakes a review: the timing of particular reviews is at the commission's discretion.
