§ Sir George YoungLocal authorities fund repair and maintenance of their housing stock out of both capital and current accounts. Expenditure on repairs funded from capital is not identified separately from expenditure on improvement and conversion work. Current expenditure on repairs and maintenance represented 32.1 per cent. of net rental income in 1982–83 and 36.5 per cent. in 1983–84.
