HC Deb 28 February 1985 vol 74 c257W
Mr. Caborn

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many complaints have been made against police officers in England and Wales in each of the last 10 years; and how many have been upheld.

Mr. Giles Shaw

Information about complaints made against the police and their outcome is contained in the annual reports of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Constabulary and the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis. The reports are available in the Library of the House.
