HC Deb 28 February 1985 vol 74 c236W
Mr. Barry Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is the number of practising doctors per 1,000 population in (a) England, (b) Wales, (c) Scotland and (d) Mid-Glamorgan.

Mr. Wyn Roberts

I assume the hon. Gentleman is referring to general medical practitioners. At 1 October 1984 the provisional rates for unrestricted principals in Wales and Mid-Glamorgan were 0.53 and 0.51 respectively. Details for England and Scotland are matters for my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Social Services and Scotland respectively.
