HL Deb 28 February 1985 vol 460 cc1085-6WA
Lord Jenkins of Putney

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, before reaching any decision on airport development, they will take into consideration the wishes and welfare of the millions adversely affected by the numbers and noise of aircraft landing at Heathrow.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Armed Forces (Lord Trefgarne)

My right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Transport and my honourable friend the Minister for Housing and Construction will reach their decisions in the light of the Inspector's report on the Airports Inquiries and all other material considerations, including the interests of those most directly affected.
