asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what representations he has received following his recent decision to declare a moratorium on payments of regional industrial development grants.

Mr. Norman Lamont

Ministers in the Department of Trade and Industry have received five letters containing representations about the moratorium on payments of regional development grants.

There have also been a few representations to Scottish and Welsh Office Ministers and to officials of the Departments concerned.
