§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what regulations apply to overlap of a national insurance widow's pension and any pensions received from another country in respect of a widow's late husband's previous employment abroad.
§ Mr. WhitneyThere are provisions in some reciprocal agreements made between the United Kingdom and other countries which enable a widow's pension awarded under the Social Security Acts to he reduced by reference to a widow's pension which is paid by the other country concerned and is based wholly or partly on the widow's late husband's record in that country.
