§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what steps he has taken in response lo the 34 recommendations contained in the 1983 report of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs on the security of controlled drugs.
§ Mr. MellorSince publication of the report in November 1983, a wide range of organisations have been consulted and invited to comment on its recommendations. We have been analysing their responses and are now examining, in consultation with other Departments, the detailed implications of the report's recommendations. The Government's conclusions will be announced shortly.
