asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will introduce legislation to provide a motive test in section 29 of the Finance Act 1973.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will introduce legislation to exempt the payment of intra-group dividends by close groups of companies from the provisions relating to apportionment.

Mr. Moore

Existing rules already provide that to the extent that retention of intra-group dividends is necessary for the business requirements of members of trading groups there will be no apportionment.
