asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will give an assurance that in the consideration of economies on Royal Navy displays in the Royal Tournament and elsewhere the Admiralty Board is giving due weight to their value to recruiting and to the public relations of the Royal Navy service.

Yes. I can assure my hon. Friend that the recruiting and PR value of RN displays is taken fully into account when economies are being considered.
