§ 19. Mr. Baldryasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a statement on the present situation with regard to proposals to construct the M40 extension.
§ Mrs. ChalkerThe order for the M40 extension of the M40 between Ardley and Warwick which was made last December is the subject of proceedings in the High Court, further progress on this section has to await the outcome of those proceedings.
On other parts of the route, the further consultations on a proposed modification to the short length between Ardley and Wendlebury are now complete. I shall announce a decision shortly; and for the section between Warwick and the M42 at Umberslade, draft side roads and compulsory purchase order are to be published in a few weeks.
