asked the Secretary of State far Transport whether any of the current members of the board of London Regional Transport were nominated by or on behalf of any London borough.

No. The London Regional Transport Act requires my right hon. Friend to appoint members of the board of London Regional Transport from among persons who appear to him to have had wide experience of, and shown capability in, Transport, industrial commercial or financial matters, administration, applied science, or the organisation of workers.
