HC Deb 25 February 1985 vol 74 c2W
Mr. Evennett

asked the Attorney-General whether there are any plans to transfer the responsibilities of the Legal Aid (Complaints) Tribunals to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal; and if he will make a statement.

The Attorney-General

The Administration of Justice Bill introduced in another place by the Lord Chancellor provides for the jurisdiction in respect of legal aid complaints presently exercisable by the Legal Aid (Complaints) Tribunals to be exercised instead by a disciplinary tribunal of the Senate of the Inns of Court and the Bar and the Solicitors' Disciplinary Tribunal.
