§ Mr. Gareth Wardellasked the Attorney-General, if he will publish in the Official Report, for each regional legal aid area, those magistrates' courts where it has been decided that duty solicitors should be in attendance.
§ The Attorney-GeneralIt is the intention that arrangements will exist for duty solicitors to be in attendance at the busier courts. These will normally be those where on average 10 or more defendants make a first appearance at each court session otherwise than in connection with motoring offences. Attendance schemes may also be approved in less busy courts where circumstances justify it. Courts where schemes have been, or are about to be, implemented are listed as follows, by legal aid area:
