§ Mr. WaddingtonThe currently available information relates to the first nine months of 1984, when 1,846 notices of intention to deport were served. The total number of person served with detention orders in the same period was published in table 13 of the quarterly Home Office statistical Bulletin "Control of Immigration:

§ Mr. Soleyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many persons were recommended for deportation with no custodial sentence during 1984, and, of those, in how many cases the court directed release (a) subject to conditions and (b) without conditions.
