HC Deb 25 February 1985 vol 74 c53W
32. Mr. Hayward

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what is the projected growth in scheduled airline passengers for flights within the United Kingdom for 1985 over 1984.

Mr. Michael Spicer

The Department does not produce short-term forecasts for passenger traffic. However, the Department's latest long-term forecasts assume that domestic passenger movements will increase by between 2.4 and 5 per cent. per annum in the period 1982 to 1990. (table 2, Air Traffic Forecasts for the United Kingdom 1984). A copy of these forecasts is in the Library of the House.
