§ Mr. Cockeramasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what is Her Majesty's Government policy over maintaining freedom of trade between the united Kingdom and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
§ Mr. Channon[pursuant to the reply, 21 February 1985, c. 508]: The Government are strongly in favour of the further development of this trade on the basis of mutual benefit. It is the Government's policy to promote freedom of trade between the two countries within the constraints imposed by our international obligations.
