§ Sir Brandon Rhys Williamsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish indices for each year since 1978–79, taking 1978–79 as 100, comparing (a) public expenditure, (b) retail prices index, (c) index of industrial production, (d) wages, salaries and income from self-employment, (e) expenditure on social security benefits, (f) revenue from income tax and (g) revenue from national insurance contributions.
