§ Mr. LeeOverall recruitment to the armed services remains satisfactory. In 1983–84 some 37,000 men and women entered the armed services on regular engagements and this year we expect to recruit a similar number. Recruiting targets are generally being met except for some specific officer categories, technicians and skilled tradesmen.
