§ Mr. RidleyIn the early hours of Monday 11 February a gang of six permanent way men were clearing snow from the points at Severn tunnel junction when they were run down by a train. Regrettably, four of the men, including the man in charge, were killed. The Railway Inspectorate is currently investigating the accident under the powers of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act.
