§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the present cost of implementing recommendations 10, 12, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29 of the working group report on inequalities in health.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeNo. The cost of implementing those recommendations, though undoubtedly very large, would depend to a considerable extent on the way they were implemented. In that light, and taking into account also the current review of social security benefits, estimates of cost would not be meaningful.
