§ Sir William van StraubenzeeIt is not possible to say what proportion of the many millions of pounds of investments sold by the commissioners since July 1982 were in respect of companies trading in South Africa. It is, however, the commissioners' policy not to invest in companies operating wholly or mainly in that country.
