Friend the Minister with responsibility for health and social work in Scotland wrote to the British Medical Association's Scottish office on 12 November 1984 explaining our proposals for limited list prescribing and my Department's Chief Medical Officer wrote to all Scottish doctors about the new measures on 14 December 1984.
