§ Mr. BrookeMy right hon. Friend announced on 1 August 1984 at column 268 the Government's decision to introduce, when the parliamentary timetable allows, legislation to limit academic tenure in the form in which if is granted in some universities. Detailed proposals for legislation will be brought forward in due course.
