§ Mr. BrookeThe Government's expenditure plans (Cmnd. 9428) include provision for recurrent grant in cash terms by financial years of £1,280 million for 1985–86, £1,315 million for 1986–87 and £1,348 million for 1987–88. The figure for 1985–86 is subject to parliamentary approval and those for later years to review in future public expenditure surveys in the usual way.
