§ Mr. Simon Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he will appoint the British delegation to the United Nations end of Decade for Women's conference; and what criteria he will use in selecting the members of the United Kingdom's delegation to the conference.
§ Mr. RentonWe hope to announce the composition of our delegation shortly. But the delegation will include people familiar with the ground to be covered at the conference and the views of interested British organisations. The delegation will be well able to represent the views expressed by such organisations.
§ Mr. Simon Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will ensure that the membership of the British delegation to the United Nations end of Decade for Women's conference reflects fully the interests of British women.
§ Mr. RentonWe intend to include in our delegation a number of people familiar with the views of a wide range of interested organisations and individuals. We have also made arrangements whereby interested organisations and individuals can put their views to the Government so that these views can be taken into account in the preparations for the conference.
