§ Mr. John MacKayThere is a well-established convention that Ministers do not disclose the advice which they receive from their officials. It has, however, been the firm policy of successive Governments for over two decades that the fluoridation of the public water supply is a safe and effective means of promoting good dental health; and this policy has had the strong support of all the main medical and dental professional organisations.
