§ Mr. McTaggartasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list in the Official Report the number of staff from the investigation division of Her Majesty's Customs and Excise attached to individual ports in the United Kingdom, listing the individual ports and the number of such staff in each one.
§ Mr. Hayhoe[pursuant to his reply, 14 February 1985, c. 291–2]: The investigation division of Customs and Excise is mainly based in London but also has a number of provincial offices. None of its staff is specifically attached to or responsible for individual ports.
§ Mr. McTaggartasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish in the Official Report (a) the numbers of customs staff at seaports, airports and inland premises in Scotland at 31 March 1984, (b) the number of 309W additional Customs staff allocated to Scotland since that date and (c) the number of new Customs posts which will be allocated to Scotland in 1985–86.
